T.R.E.N.T.

Last......um June....
I asked some close family to describe Trent in one word.
With these words I originally had a project idea to complete for his 1st Birthday party.....
well, obviously that did not get completed.
Then the project got scratched all together.
But I loved the fact that those who love him
took the time
to think of him.
I still wanted to make those words into something special
for him.
So he always knows
that he
is special and loved by so many.
I originally did not want the "cliche" name on the wall.
But this idea came to me a couple , OK 6 months later.

He loved his new letters and actually took this picture himself!
Thank you to those of you who make our little
man feel so loved!
You all came up with wonderful words that describe him so well!

Kansas City Here We Come!!

We had our annual weekend get away
to KC,
and had a blast!
Hitting our favorite shopping spots like--
Nebraska Furniture Mart.
Where Trent's first escalator experience was a hit!

Then on to Cabela's.
To see the "Fisheeees!"

These stuffed creatures....
un-exciting.
But the balloon....
now that was something he would not separate from.

He could have fed the "Fisheeees!" all day!

And practiced for next years
Deer hunt with Uncle Scott.
More great shopping and lots of yummy food=
one great vacation!
Thank you Uncle Scott and Aunt Neila for another wonderful weekend!!

30 weeks!

7 Months!
Baby is growing fast and moving constantly,
Heart rate of 153.
Big brother is getting excited for the arrival of
the little one.
He loves to put lotion on the baby, (my belly), and loves to
bring the baby binkies and blankies.
I hope his love and care continues once the baby actually arrives!
Getting excited!

Snow!

I finally got to wear my new snow gear!
I was so excited I could hardly wait!
I loved having a snow ball fight with mama.
And trudging through in my new boots.
But falling or sitting in the white stuff was NOT fun.

Mamas note-once we got inside I asked Trent if he wanted some hot chocolate.  Yes!  He ran in the kitchen, so excited.
I let him smell the powder as the milk warmed in the microwave.
"MMMM"!  He was ready......until....
I mixed the powder in the milk.
MAJOR melt down.
He would not try it!
He didn't understand what happened to that chocolate!
Mama made it disappear!
So, he got his chocolate.....in the form of M&M's.
I enjoyed the hot chocolate, maybe next year he will understand!

Favorite Day

One day of the year I look forward to most
is our Christmas Eve
spent together.
I was worried a fit would ensue as he prepared his
platter for Santa and Rudolf.
But it was like he knew those cookies were for someone
special.

Santa only left me a crumb!
Oh, he left me M's!  I guess it is ok that he ate
the cookies!

He loved his new table from Grandma June....
so much that even that darn bear wasn't allowed to sit there!

He finally got his fire truck from Sittie and Grandad.
He likes it, but is still trying to understand the whole steering thing.
Big days come with big messes!
Time for church.
But not before checking one more time for more presents
left under the tree.

The magic of Christmas through the eyes of a child.
A slow, relaxing day spent together.
A big brunch, a long nap and a beautiful evening at
an amazing Christmas service.
That makes it a favorite day.
Hope yours was just as special!
