9 months!

You are officially
on the
go go go!
Crawling super speed,
pulling up and "cruising" furniture,
or people.
Walking while holding onto fingers
(or even just one!)
You can go all the way up our steps
and when you make it to the top
you look as proud
as if you just climbed Mt. Everest.
You eat all your food....
and the rest of your brothers...
You laugh and smile
all the time.
Today you cracked up every time
any one said "Kitty Cat".
You say "mama and bubba"
(and what sounded like possibly "up")
You still have no teeth.
You are easily entertained
and could sit and play with toys
forever.
But you also play well
with others
and love being with groups of kids.
You love to play ball,
and you are actually very good at it!
You have been throwing fits
going to sleep,
but once asleep, you stay all night.

You are finally getting use to the tree
and laugh at its sight.
We are super excited
to celebrate your first
Christmas!

Bubba and Daddy started calling you
Sean-deer.
We love you!

The weekend

Attempt at a cousin photo...
not so easy!
Attempt at a family photo....
getting very difficult!
1. Baby worried about tree
2. Bad flash back
Bubba cheese-ball (normal!)
Baby done...
3.Bubba done
Baby done
Orb.
4. We lost Bubba.
Award-winning cookie baking!

Aunt Eishas B-day!
Bubba picked out her presents
all by himself!
I think the pineapple was a hit!

And more baking and decorating!

Today brought us a possible
White Christmas!
I think Bubba is at the stage where
he makes me laugh daily.
Driving home from the
baby-sitters today
we were gunning it moving ever-so-gingerly
over the mounds of snow
and I was asking Bubba what he ate for lunch.
He said "Snow!"
(the sitter brought some inside for the kids to play in!)
I said- "You ate snow? What did it taste like?"
His reply---???
Take a guess in the poll!

The Sad, The Good, and The Funny

An Elf appeared
at our house this week!
He is watching over the boys
to make sure they are good,
and returning to Santa
with a full report
on Christmas Eve.
I got really excited
about doing this
with Big Guy
this year,
but found out he is still too young to
"get it".
So, maybe next year.
I was a little sad that we were not
going to do the "Elf on the Shelf"
but it was a good reminder to me
to not push too much
of what
I
want
onto them.
Big Guys'
best buddy
turned 3!
We had a great time at the party,
where his mommy
went all out...
cake-pop queen!
It all tasted as yummy
as it looked!
Happy Burfday E-Fun!
(When he was opening the card from us,
Big-Guy kept saying
"I pick that out E-fun"!
He still loves parties and gift giving!
Tonight at dinner we were discussing
Kings, Queens, Princes, etc.
Big Guy told me that "Mommy, you the princess,
Daddy king."
I said "OK, you are the prince, what is Sean?"
"He dinosaur!"
I guess he can guard the moat!
Then he informed me HE
would feed baby dinner.
OK, sounds good to me!
These two are pure entertainment!

Preperations

Are well under way
in our home.
With all the hype on the
tree, backhoe and Santa~
I really feel that the importance of
reminding and teaching
our family
what Christmas truly means
has to be a priority.
I found the most adorable Nativity Scene
that Big Guy absolutely loves.
He has been playing with
it daily,
rearranging,
making sure Baby Jesus is ok
and the "Aminals eat their hay".
I was so proud today while out shopping
he spotted
"Baby Jesus!"
The lady at the register looked shocked
and
only replied very quietly
"Yes, it is."
Yes, my 2 year old knows
and loves Jesus.
Baby has a great role model
and has been doing lots of
"monkey-see, monkey-do".
I try to keep him contained
when I need to accomplish something
like, say....
cook supper
or go to the bathroom....
but
he now screams
when I put him in his jumper
or walker....
so, not going to work much longer!
I am glad I have
this 2 year old
that is always reminding me
of Jesus.
Early this morning I quickly
lost my patience with him.
After he calmed
he put his hands together and bowed
his fat cheeks into them
saying
"Jesus loves me,
thank you for my coat
and my Mommy
Amen".
Oh man...
I immediately thought of
when I saw this pic.
Can you believe how much
he has changed?
I can't!
Baby is loving
his first Christmas.
But was at first scared
of the tree.
He would look at it,
and look back at us
with an expression like
"Ummm, why is there a big tree IN the house?"
Remember "monkey-see"...?
It works both ways!
After a day or so,
Baby finally got up the nerve
to touch the tree
but still isn't fond of it.
(I am OK with that!)
Our favorite activity
is our Advent Tree.
We have to watch him though,
he is always wanting to skip to that
big "25" star!

We wrote our letters to Santa
and got them in the mail!
We are having lots of fun in the kitchen too!
50% done with our baking!
We are also done shopping!
I took Big Guy out today to get a present for Baby.
He told me Sean "wants a backhoe".
So we had a long talk about giving to others
and how we get them something they
want, not what we like.
After about 20 minutes in the truck section
I finally coerced him into the
toy section for his brother.
He ended up getting a great gift
I know Baby will love!
This month is flying by
and there is always tons to accomplish
but we are trying to do it slowly,
have fun,
and remember the true reason
for all that we are doing.
When out shopping today
I took Big Guy to a Thrift Store.
As we walked through the front door
his eyes got big,
he scanned the room
and said
"OH WOW!!!"
He loved that place!
He saw the good, the beauty
in what others have thrown out.
It has been my goal
this Holiday Season
to not get overwhelmed
with all that "Has" to be done.
And to open my eyes
and see and feel it all
through my children.
Hope you are doing the same!

Bubba-isms

One afternoon he was eating a piece of cheese
for a snack.
He asked me to hold it,
I told him I couldn't hold it and to find a place for it......

He finally named his fish~
"Bobby and Shaky"....
I have no idea how he came up with those!

We were driving home
with Sean fussing in the backseat.
Trent turned to him and said
"Don't worry Seanie Boy,
Jesus is sitting right here."
As he pointed to the seat in between them.

I was getting him ready for a bath,
as he walked to the bathroom (naked)
he started laughing and turned to me
"Look at my weaner Mommy!
It's wagging!"

We put our tree up,
ran out of energy so didn't get the ornaments on.
The next day he went in the living room and said
"Wow, tree still here!
We need to dress it up!"

One night at dinner he grabbed his stomach
and started crying "My Tummy HURT!"
Usually that means he needs to go to the bathroom,
but he denied needing to go.
He became more frantic,
stood up from the table and was bent over
holding his belly.
I was actually getting scared for him
because he was so upset.
Just as I was going to pick him up
he bent over further letting out a HUGE toot.
He stood up with a big grin
"I better now!!"
and off he went.
(Glad we didn't make it to the ER!)

He is completly obsessed
with receiving a Backhoe
for Christmas.
If we ever start to raise our voice at him,
or he knows he has done wrong,
he will throw his head back and cry
"But I want a backhoe!"
(He has brought this upon himself,
I would never use bribery......  ;)
