Family trip
started off great!
The boys did amazing in the car.
They never complained
and were sooooo
excited to go to TEXAS!
We took our time,
stopped and stretched
as needed
and took in the beauty
around us.
Our first night we stayed
at the amazing "World Casino"
right on the Oklahoma/Texas border.
It is HUGE, almost like a resort
with tons of restaurants.
They were a silly excited!
The next morning we made it
to Texas in just about 5 minutes!
Then, before we knew it....
we made our way
to our room with a
fantastic view...
Right on the corner, with 2 balconies
our room overlooked the
San Antonio River Walk.
What a fun place to be!
The boys loved the Palm trees,
I did too,
that plus the warmth
made it feel like we were
{almost}
in a tropical paradise!
Our first night
we wasted no time
and made our way onto the walk.
First thing
was a ride on the boats!
So beautiful at night.
It took almost an hour
to see the sights!
Then... the hardest decision
of the trip...
where in the world to eat???
Restaurant after restaurant!!!
Hard Rock was our first stop.
How fun!
The boys were silly again
and loved seeing all of the musical memorabilia.
My meetings were done by lunch time
so I would hunt down my guys
who were always out discovering the city.
I have to admit, the thin walkway
was often packed with people,
and yes the boys loved walking (or running)
right on the edge...
equaled one nervous mom!
However,
the water is only 3 feet deep
so, that made me feel a little better! :)
Second stop,
Rain Forest Cafe!
Another fun, yummy meal!
Second major stop...
The ALAMO!!
Trent was most excited about this!
We all enjoyed seeing this history
and the boys loved the weaponry.
Just walking and enjoying the beautiful
weather and sites was very relaxing!
Yes...
next meal!
(are you sensing a theme?!)
Joe's Crab Shack.
This boy couldn't wait for
fish night!
The next morning the boys
ventured to the Buckhorn Museum
where I caught up with them later.
They LOVED it, no doubt!
Then an afternoon of relaxing
by the pool.
It was a little chilly,
so we followed the "sun spot" as it moved!
Chillin' at its finest!
Stinker liked to torture
poor little Zee Zee sometimes!
On our way to
hunt down our next meal!
Mexican fiesta night!
The boys said
they "Don't like that music". HA!
We were soooo blessed to have
the most perfect weather on our
Sea World day!
Seeing this show
was exactly how I remembered it
at almost the same age as Trent.
I hope these are some of the memories
that will stick with them forever too.
I know they will for me!
Zee Zee!
They ran in this thing
forever!
This was also Valentines day,
so we did gifts
and got ready for our night out
when we got back.
Ready for our
night out!
Bub is a good photographer!
Spoiled rotten even in hotel!
I don't know how they pulled this off,
but I sure felt loved!
Beautiful valentines!
It was the perfect evening to eat outside
and savor our last night
in San An!
We started our venture North
and found the cutest off the path diner.
Sean insisted in one of these....
and yes, he ate it all
by bedtime!
We tried to swim in our Dallas hotel,
but it got COLD and the indoor pool was COLD!
We stopped in Dallas
to go to the Medieval Knights Dinner show.
This was their favorite
time of the entire trip.
The food was amazing,
and probably the best meal of the trip!
FYI, Trent is now
growing out his hair
to be like these guys!
Last meal of the trip!
We were so pleased with how well
the boys did on our vacation.
We loved our time and adventures together.
Doesn't get much better!
