All sorts of fun!

 Trent is playing
flag football this year!
He is one of the youngest,
and smallest,
but he also has the most stamina
and is one of the fastest.

Mama was a little nervous
about letting him play,
but he is doing great!

Daddy had to go on a
scavenger hunt
to find his B-day cards!
The boys did this all on their own.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Trent had his first
School Open House.

He was SO excited to show us around.

Sean made "Mommy"!

The boys and I
made our first "bale garden."
For such a small growing space,
it produced greatly!

Silly guys!

We made a trip to KC
to see some great friends
and attend the KC Winefest.
The weather was amazing,
and the wine went down
pretty smooth!

Arts and crafts time!

The boys ended up with
a huge pile of coupons
after the library reading program.
We are still getting
free ice cream!

No more training wheels around here!

Trent has been
hinting and asking
for us to come eat lunch
with him at school.
I surprised him by showing up.
The look on his face
was priceless.
I need to take advantage of him
WANTING me around
as long as I can!
Trent and his good buddy Nash.

Our pumpkins turned into Minions.
Our darn paint peeled off,
but they are still cute!

Hays High Homecoming Parade.
The boys were pumped
to say the least!
Trents teacher was in the parade
because she won
"Master Teacher of the Year"
last year.
He thought that was really cool!

And now to welcome Fall...

Labor Day 2015

We went on a
Field trip
to Ft. Larned.

The boys all love
learning about
history, war and guns.

So this was right down
their alley!

(This guy was freaky and real!)

This was a special weekend,
so we saw the Fort
re-enacted everyplace we went.
The Blacksmith
was their favorite stop.

He made them their own
wall hooks.

Picked up their clothing!

Learned how the cannon was shot.

And went for a nice
carriage ride!

Through all this,
the boys were on a mission.
They were given a form to fill out
as a kind of "scavenger hunt".
At the end of the day,
they returned what they had learned,
took an oath
and became
Junior Rangers!

They were so proud and excited!
This is a really cool program
that all the National Parks participate in.
When we go to more parks,
they will get their
passports stamped.

The rest of our weekend
was spent here....!

Doesn't get better
than this happy face!

We had lots of fun,
but ended up with our first
round of Pink Eye!
Yuck!!
Trent, then Mom then Sean.
Lucky Jake was saved from the yuckiness.
Pretty miserable stuff!
But, these boys are tough
and nothing stopped them
from finishing the weekend strong!

Happy Labor Day! :)
