Harvest Time

There's peanut dust and corn husk drifting through the air tonight
The marching band's warming up under the football lights
There's tractor trailers backed up down by the elevators
Train track grain car'll roll in later
Get filled up and head on out in the world

It's harvest time in this little town
Time to bring it on in
Pay the loans down
Fill our diesel tank up
And make another round
There's a big red moon coming up in the sky
Combine's cutting in a staggered line
The only time of year
We missed the church bell's chime
It's harvest time

There's a thermos and a water jug
Rolling around in the cab
A set of socket wretches
Wrapped up in a greasy red rag
Bobby's mother pulls in the field
Bringing us supper
We grab a bite and make sure to hug her
Saddle back up and let the big wheels roll

It's harvest time in this little town
Time to bring it on in
Pay the loans down
Fill the diesel tank up
And make another round
There's a big red moon coming up in the sky
Combine's cutting in a staggered line
The only time of year
We missed the church bell's chime
It's harvest time

At a quarter to two I kick off my boots
In the laundry room,
We'll start it all over tomorrow at noon
'Til its all done until we're all done

It's harvest time in this little town
Time to bring it on in
Pay the loans down
Fill the diesel tank up
And make another round
There's a big red moon coming up in the sky
Combine's cutting in a staggered line
The only time of year
We missed the church bell's chime
It's harvest time
It's harvest time

Luke Bryan
Harvest Time

We bought the boys their first CD,
Luke Bryan
writes songs
straight from the heart
of little boys.

(I don't mind this either!)

He lives the name on his hat.
Milo in the Snack-eez cup.
Yep, fill it up up.

Exploring never gets old here!

At the end of the day
we saw Uncle Justin perform
at the Utica Sock Hop.
It was so fun!
What a great way to end our day.

No Grils!

School lunch
with my Bub!

Its so sweet how he turns red,
gets a big smile on his face,
gives me huge hugs
and
is more quiet than ever
when I join him at school.

Then he shows off
at recess with his best bud Nash.

I asked them why they don't chase the girls?
They said "ewwwwww"!!

It is so funny how kids
just DO things
on their own.
I remember making these signs
for my room!
All the sudden, the boys are making their own, on their own!
I love the "no grils allowed"
except Hanna! lol,
some day she is the
ONE person who won't be allowed!

Google made me this very adorable collage.
These boys have been inseparable from the beginning!

love these guys!

KC in the fall!

We spent a fun filled
weekend in KC
with Scott and Neila!
Went to a great Pumpkin Patch!

Silly photo bombers!

Family photo...
the struggle is real!

You can take it if you can carry it!

That evening
Uncle Scott took the boys fishing at the neighbors pond!

Then practiced some archery!

Learning from the best!

The next morning we spent at the lake,
feeding some HUGE fish!

And discussing life!

Thanks for a great weekend KC fam!
