Cabo 2013

Time to relax!
Fun outside
Mexican Fiesta,
show
and wonderful food.
View from one of the pools.
Perfect weather.
Special night for
meeting participants,
another amazing meal
by the sea,
and
Mariachi Band.
Followed by drinks
at the sky bar.
We really just wanted
to lay around,
enjoy the sun,
drinks
and water....
so,

we did!

These guys
would come out to
catch some rays,
then head back
into the walls.
Always something
fun to buy.
Bonfire/band and bar
on the beach....
Checked off
my bucket list!
Our resort was located in
Los Cabos.
We headed into
Cabo San Lucas once
to go whale watching.
We were a little nervous about
getting onto
this "smaller" boat
to go into the ocean...

But it ended up being
a beautiful,
fun night!
If Sean keeps
loving basketball
as much as he does,
some day he will own a yacht
like "Air Jordan's" too!
Watch out for Pirates!
There were many times
we saw Whales
from our hotel.
But once on this tour
we didn't see a single one!
Not a bad spot for wedding photos!

We Sailed home,
unbelievably relaxing!
(or maybe it was the Bloody Mary's)
:)

We had some time left in Cabo,
so walked down the
marina to find a restaurant.
Couldn't decide where to go,
until our friend
saw this shirt hanging
in the rafters of this restaurant.
The rest is history
(you can ask Jake for the crazy details!)
But we had the BEST night,
BEST margaritas,
and BEST food we have EVER
eaten!
All because of this shirt!
Oh, and we got
The boys are obsessed
with Army/good guys/bad guys.
So, we got some pics to show them
what the "good guys"
carry around in Mexico!

And.....
the shirt continues
into the next day.....
Ran into one of the
anesthesia Dr's
from my dad's original group.
I really believe
it was that group of men
that put the spark and love
for anesthesia
in my heart.
I still remember going
to visit my dad
at work
when I was young,
and thinking
it was the coolest
place
and
they were the coolest guys
ever!
Playing with my camera....
so nice to see COLOR
after looking at white snow forever...

Room with a view!
The waves were so loud at times,
it sounded like thunder.

Can't wait to go back!

The White Stuff

After the storm passed,
we ventured out....
To be honest,
my boys were not too crazy
about the cold, wet outdoors.
About 30 minutes of cramming into
layers of clothing =
about 10 minutes outside.
But, that is alright.
It's not very often we
experience that much snow!

Blizzard!

16 inches!
We were glad
to be inside,
safe warm and together!
But Daddy
braved the outdoors
to clear some driveways.
(We think he was having fun!)
Meanwhile....
we practiced some Yoga
And kept
our brains busy!

Snow days!
Mini-volcano's.
Supposed to drop vinegar
onto baking soda.....
That was not exciting enough.
Seanie figured out
that pouring
the baking soda
into the vinegar
was much more fun!
Building a dinosaur habitat
with....beans.
This kept them busy for hours!
We LOVE
going to Farmer Appreciation dinners
with daddy!
The boys can't believe
they get to eat inside
an elevator!
(This was just a few hours
before the blizzard hit....
notice just jackets on!)
That night Trent
got very sick,
so the next day
Sean did
"Milk Painting"
on his own.
Very pretty,
but only fun
for about 10 minutes.
So, we switched to
"Bubbles" instead.
I was thankful
for these
calm days,
the ability to stay home
with my sick baby
and for
all of our fun experiments!

Dentistry

"AHHHHH"
Sean had his first
dentist appointment.
He did great!
He loved the water
and kept asking for more!
Trent went in by himself
and also had a great checkup.
I feel so proud that
I can take my boys
to these types of things
and not have to worry
about bad behavior.
The next day
they opened their own office
and worked on each other.
To them,
this may be how big
they think the drills are!
No bugs in our teeth!

stayin busy

Our snow days
were filled with
every activity
we could think of!
We~
celebrated Kansas Day.

Baked and cooked together.
(I love
the fact that
my boys
share my love
for the kitchen!)

Made moon-dough.
They played with this stuff
for 3 straight hours.
But, it also took
that long to clean it up!
It was nice having
these "lazy" days to
spend together!
And there were more to come....
