Little Plum
That is how big the baby is already!
Today started out with some excitement.
We went in for our appointment and got a great heartbeat on the baby. 178!
I had mentioned that I had been having a feeling that there were
two
in there.
So the nurse moved the Doppler to the other side...
turning slightly pale
she stopped and said
"I will send you for an ultrasound."
We did a quick one upstairs and could see the baby great
but there was also something on the other side.
This is the same area I had a previous cyst and endometriosis.
I also still have pain there.
She thought she had possibly heard another heartbeat,
so for a couple hours
we thought we were either having twins
had twins and one had passed
or my cyst had returned.
It was a little exciting to think about, but also a little overwhelming!
I couldn't imagine having 3 under 2!
So, we went back for the sono
and there was our second
rockin baby.
I named Trent rockinbabyryan because
he never sat still in the womb. (still doesn't!)
Looks like this one is following in big brothers footsteps!
The sonographer was even laughing at all the stretching
and kicking little one was doing!
It also looks like we have a thumb sucker!
About the size of a small plum, still too small to weigh.
Look out world, we have another mover and shaker
on the way!

Big Move
After 19 years my parents decided
it was time to down size.
I didn't take the news well at first.
Even though I didn't spend my "childhood"
in this home,
there are still tons of memories in between those walls.
Also, I always envisioned bringing my children
to this home to visit
Sittie and Grandad.
We tried with all our might to make them believe
they were making the wrong decision.
But, they knew what the wanted.
We were all there for moving day.
I have to admit, I wasn't as sad as I had expected.
The hard part will be going "home"
for the Holidays.
After a long, hard, hot day of moving
Trent and I went to their new home and watched as they
began unpacking.
My parents were so excited and happy,
I haven't seem them beaming like that for a long time.
So, how can I not be happy too?
We are looking forward to making new memories
in their new home!

Tuesdays with Trent
I have been so lucky to have the best of both worlds.
I love my career and I love being a mom.
But the day I look forward to the most is
Tuesday.
I never work on Tuesday.
Tuesday is always Trent.
We always have a full day together.
Our favorite thing to do every Tuesday is to go to the library.
They have an amazing children's center.
Complete with a castle...
Super beads...
Computers....
And lots of books!
Yeah for Tuesday!

BIG bean!
Poor baby, I am having a hard time remembering to "capture" all those special moments for you.
Already the size of a kidney bean, complete with facial features, fingers, toes
and a beating heart.
You are just as special to us as your big brother.
You seem to be growing much faster than he did though!
That is good,
We love to see you grow!

the Big picture
For some reason, every time we have tried family photos....
We end up with lots of those!
I don't know why because he is an absolute ham when I pull out my camera! Exhibit #253-
But as soon as we get all cleaned up and that professional pulls out their camera......a very different child emerges!
I don't want to give up, I want millions of pics of my little man.
I was hopeful that this time would be different.
He is much older, more fun, and full of laughs and smiles.
We were also heading to one of his favorite spots...
the park!
Nope!
Uncontrolled screaming 55 minutes out of the hour shoot.
Seriously, we have no idea what the fit was about.
I don't see modeling in his future.
We were exhausted and disappointed with our wasted hour.
But once we received the finished product, completely impressed!
Great job Sarah!
I think she captured some great pictures that really show Trent's personality.
We vowed to NEVER do professional pictures again....
well, maybe one more try.....someday!
Hope you enjoyed!

More BIG and small animals!
Last weekend while in Wichita we hit the
Tanganyika Wildlife Park
It was super hot, even in the morning.
But we still managed to have a great time.
The best part about this park is the ability to get up close, even feeding and touching the animals.
Trent really liked feeding the giraffe, but wasn't so sure about the crock.
Sydney loved all the animals, but had to take cover from the heat about half way through.
One would think that because of his love of dogs, he might like goats?
NO! HE SCREAMED IN FEAR!!
I guess those horns and big eyes can be a little creepy.
I didn't think that bunnies or tortoises would be scary either....
but they were!
His absolute favorite was this cute little Lemur.
Worth the $1 for ONE dried cranberry to feed him!
Trent shook his head "No" at this little guy!
Sorry about the poor quality on the pics. We all had camera issues, so Grandad saved the day and bought a disposable.
(You remember, real film...:)
Thanks Grandad!!
