Order

I used to love order in my life.
Clean, things put in their place.
Now I live with a house of boys.
Where someone is always hungry.
Where at least one person is awake 20 out of 24 hours.
Where the floors could always use cleaning.
Where there is always a diaper to change.
Where groceries are always needed.
Where there are plenty of toys to step on.
Where there is always a load of laundry to do.
Where I awake to this....

How could this not make me smile?
I didn't know how fun dis-order would be!

PS-last week I found a dinosaur IN the dishwasher,
I guess he wants clean toys?

Clones

About a month ago Trent was chasing Jake around the kitchen.
"Daddy....daddy......daddy......daddy....!!!!!!!!!!"
Every second Jake is home, Trent is on his tail.
I become the background to their wrestling, running, ball throwing, hide and seek playing chaos.
On this particular night I suddenly had a vision.
I told Jake,
"If you have another boy, you will just have another little clone
chasing you,
never letting you out of his site.
Ya know, like those little green aliens from Toy Story!"
"Daddy, daddy, daddy,daddy!"
Wow, who knew how close to the truth this statement would turn out!
I don't think they could look any more alike without being identical twins!

At the rate little Sean is eating, he will have his brothers chubby cheeks in no time!
Watch out daddy, here we come!

Congrats to Uncle Justin on winning the baby pool.

Happy St. Patty's day!
I had my bag packed for a week with this outfit ready~
completely unaware we would be in the hospital
needing a green outfit!
Not as fond of his "going home" outfit.

Big brother is loving his new role as
"Binky cop"!
He believes the baby always needs one!

"Ok, he can sit on my lap, but I am not going to touch him!"
 Rockin boys!
By the way, we really thought we were having a girl~
our "secret" girl name was Tessa, which we had picked since I was pregnant with Trent.
(don't you love surprises!)

ROOOAAARRRR!!!!!!

Trent has really been loving Dinosaurs.
He crawls around, attacking our legs, growling.
If you say the word "Dinosaur" he growls.
So when we heard "Dinosaur Train" was coming to town,
we knew we better not miss it!
(Even though he has never actually watched Dinosaur Train,
because that would involve sitting still)......
we thought he would like it anyway.
All morning he was growling and roaring, ready to go!
And a great time we had!
This guy made him a little nervous,
but he "ROOAARRREDD" back at him....
when in daddy's arms!
Digging for fossils!
Didn't mind turning his back on this guy to say
"CHHHEESSSEEE!"
Meeting Buddy went a little better than his meeting with Santa...
But not by much!
Another successful adventure!

A letter

Dear Rockin Baby 1~
We are so excited that we are able to soon give you a sibling.  Someone with which to play with, fight with, share secrets, go on adventures, protect and be protected.  You will grow up together and form a bond that only the two of you will share.  I know you will be a fantastic big brother.  I also want you to know that you are very unique and special.  There is so much I love about you.  Sometimes I see little parts of me in you.  Like your timidness when it comes to heights and speed.  (I do hope that you some day get over this so you can enjoy roller-coasters with your dad!)
But in so many ways you are different than me.  You have always been so loving and open with your feelings.  You love to cuddle, hug, kiss and be held.  You have really opened me up in that way.
I love how embarrassed you get when mommy and daddy kiss or hug each other!
I love your independence and desire to please others.
At story time this week you melted my heart.  When the leader of story time told the kids to get two scarves, one for you and one for your mom, they ran out and you only got one.
You came to me with tears in your eyes, holding your one scarf saying "Mooooommmmmyyyyy".  You were so hurt that I didn't have a scarf, you could not go on.
You make me feel special.
I am so proud to call you mine.

3 weeks, or so...

Any day now...
Rockin Baby Ryan 2
can safely make an appearance.
So how about
taking your chances
and making some guesses?
Here are some "hints"
that could possibly help.....
or not!
Mothers intuition?
I have felt that this baby will be a girl from the beginning.
I also thought Trent was a boy all along....
could I be correct twice?
I am partially going off of symptoms that follow the typical
"old-wives tales".
Like how sick I was with Trent (more), supposedly worse
with boys.
Where I gained weight and how I carried baby 2
is a little different than Trent.
While pregnant with Trent I had many dreams I was having a girl....
I have this time too!
Everyone I know thinks I am having a girl...
If this is a boy, no one will believe it!
Arrival time--
During my entire pregnancy with Trent we thought
he would be early.
VERY WRONG!
So, I am not getting my hopes up this time!
Size-
Trent was 7lb 12 oz.  20.5in
I have been told I don't look as big as last time....
I don't feel that way!

36 weeks!

Not much longer!
Our little "CHEEESSEEE"-
camera loving
show off
will soon be
Big Brother!
Babe's heart rate has been 148-153.
We had a little scare that little one was going to arrive a little too
early last week.
A high fever sent me to the hospital with contractions every
2-5 minutes.
Luckily the contractions caused no changes and were
stopped with some fluids, medications and rest.
We are all feeling much better now, and hoping little one
will "cook" at least another week.
Get your guessing game ready......
poll is coming soon!

Blessed!

Leaving your child in the hands of another
is a scary,stressful guilty feeling.
A couple months ago, our sitter informed us she was moving.
We had to find someone else to watch Trent
part time on the days I work.
We thought it was the end of our world.
We prayed and searched.
I have to say we have been blessed with the results.
Trent is SO happy to go to the sitters house.
He really likes older girls, so gets along great with her 3 year old
daughter.
Even when she dresses him up....!
They go on outings,
like to the museum, story time, the park, out to lunch,
anything fun and to keep busy.

These are pictures that I have received on my phone, and little
texts throughout the day letting me know what they are doing and just to say "hi".
It is so reassuring to know that he is in such a wonderful place,
is loved and cared for like part of their family
while ours is apart.
It is hard being a stay at home mom.
I admit that the days Trent and I are together
are more exhausting than the days I work at the hospital.
So, I know that we have someone special in our lives
that is willing to give so much to our little guy!
We are blessed!
