horses, goats and more (random) adventures

Rodeo season has begun!
Baby didn't want to wear a hat,
but did want to be in the action!

Baby would pace,
checking out all the animals,
then back to us,
over and over.....
Its hard to believe how much these guys
have changed in the
I do have to say our lives
are
NEVER dull
and often
random.
Somehow we found ourselves
at a goat farm
loading a goat
into our truck......
The boys were thrilled!
Meet George
our new pet
goat....
Well,
he was ours for about 3 hours!
The randomness began thanks to facebook.
A friend of my sister
posted "Anyone from Hays coming to Wichita?
Can you please bring me my goat?"
It just so happened we were from Hays,
going to Wichita the next day.
When I asked Jake that night
if we could take a goat with us to Wichita
he stared at me blankly
and said
"Whats the punchline?"
But, we were happy
to help out
and George did great!
We even got to go
visit him and his new
family.

He was still a little
timid,
but ate from Trents hand before anyone elses.
I am sure he felt the "Hays" bond with him!

The kids had a blast
checking out Georges new home and family!

Tonight on Facebook,
we received on updated picture of George
from his new mama.
Trent still calls him "His pet George".
He looks pretty happy!
So, while visiting with the old owners
of George
they mentioned they would like to start
bee hives.
Then,
at Georges new home,
his new owners were telling us
about
guess
what.......
their
bee hives!
Ummmmm,
goat transportation, ok
bee hives......
that's another story!

Easter Day

Ready for an egg hunt!
Or should I say,
a freezing,
dangerous
mass chaos
attack
on a field.....
One egg + one color=
one content boy!

And one blue hand....
and mouth!!
Fastest egg dying in the west!
That's ok, because they didn't last long.
We had plans to make those eggs
back into chicks!

He was so proud,
and I do have to say my little chef
did 90% of the work on these!
Spoiled by the Easter bunny
multiple times.

I was really worried about the attempt
to save the helicopter....
daddy is getting a little old for this!
Guess who found the first egg?!
Break for rock throwing!
Yes, Gracie
loves her egg hunts!

Blowing, or spitting on
dandelions.
Can you believe that was
Mommy's tricycle!?
Rides with Papa,
almost falling asleep.
A little dirt don't hurt,
especially when its for dessert!
Fun stuff Grandma!!
Best wagon ride EVER!
Big Easter day~
three exhausted kiddos!

photo shoot

My Baby toddler
did NOT
like his photo-shoot.
I imagined these super cute
pictures with his favorite love "Zee-Zee"
and a big huge "1" balloon ala Pinterest.....
but......
he didn't think
that sounded
so cool.
But somehow
our great photographer
was able to capture
that sweet faced
blue-eyed
chubby-cheeked
squeezable
love of mine
looking
pretty darn
cute.

Big Guy had fun!
He has been excited about planning his big
"3" party.
Bet you can't guess the theme!!!
I told him he has to pick one theme.
After a day of telling me
"Mommy, I really like your hair".
and
"Mommy, you are my Girlfriend".
He got me up to 2 co-themes.
The boy knows how to get what he wants!
Recently he asked
"Mom, why did God make Bunnies with no wings?"
And when I told him we were going to Grandmas
for Easter dinner,
he said
"YEAHHHHH!
Is she making 2 chickens?"
"Why" is constantly coming out of his mouth.
When he counts
"1,2,3,4,8"
I say "Hey, that's not right".
He will laugh and say
"Got ya!"
This boy is still
SUPER obsessed with balls.
In fact,
I think he loves blueberries
only because
he calls them balls,
and hey, you can eat them too!
They adore each other still.
One day Jake said
Sean walked over to Trent
and started hugging him.
They were all saying "ahh...."
then the hug turned into
falling onto the floor together....
then a full blown wresting match.
Guess we should get used to that!
Big Guy is really into
what I do at work.
Everyday I tell him
what I did, "Today I helped a Doctor fix
 a ladies wrist."
He shows concern, wandering how she did,
is she OK?
Not just for the day, but for a solid week.
He wants to know details.
Tonight I started telling him about
"rocks" that grow in our bodies.
I am a little timid about sharing details.
Then Jake helped out with
calling them tumors.
We even got more detailed with
talking about Cancer.
I showed him my scar,
he had never even noticed it before.
He handles all this talk with such ease.
He enjoys learning,
so I guess I shouldn't always
put things in "baby" terms.
He also informed me that
"When I get big
and you get small Mom,
(yes I am Mom now :(   )
You can go to Jacobs
and I will go to the Hospital
to help people."
Sounds good to me!
Baby has been grumpy
and not himself lately.
Hopefully it is a tooth
(coming quickly!)
Oh, Big Guy is FINALLY
getting those front teeth!

They love each other....
I swear!
