Fearless

Jake and I are beginning a bible study class based on the book Fearless by Max Lucado.
Because we have not begun reading the book yet, I am not sure what it is about exactly, but it has already changed how I am looking at and thinking about life.
Jake recently commented about how amazing it is that every time Trent starts a new day, he is happy.
He smiles as we enter his room.
When we set him down, he kicks his legs, shakes his bottom and takes off across the floor like it is the first time, laughing all the way.
He looks at his toys with new excitment daily (the same toys over and over).
When he eats the same thing for breakfast every morning he gobbles it down with a "MMMM".
I feel so guilty when he hasn't left the house for a few days, isn't he bored? Isn't he sick of us?
NO!
I sing "The Wheels on The Bus" for the 200th time, he grins and shakes his head to be the "wipers".
When does our enthusiasm for life dwindle?
Why can't we wake up so excited for life?
Wouldn't it be great to be fearless?
To not worry so much and just be happy with oatmeal and bananas every morning?
I think I have lots to learn.
We are looking forward to reading and studying this book,

BUT

I think this little man is the biggest teacher we have.

Love, the RockinRyans
