The time FINALLY arrived...
the one that they have been
waiting for all year....
Big Guy has not stopped talking about
his memory is amazing!
So, when it came time to
head on out to the farm,
I had some very happy boys!
He insisted on bringing
his own tractor
to help out.
No break time for Uncle Scott
or Daddy!
These next two
photos were taken
by Big Guy....
yuuummmm.....
No boring cold sandwiches this year,
Big Guy insisted on making
homemade pizza roll-ups,
salad
and chocolate chip cookies.
He was really looking forward to the meal,
but once out on the farm,
the little guys neither one ate
a thing,
too excited I guess!
Time for a ride!
I think Big Guy
would be fine on this thing
all day long.
Which is funny,
since he can't sit still
any place else.
Uncle Scott made the comment
that most kids grow up never
seeing anything like this.
He is right.
And I feel so lucky and proud
that we are a
farming family.
I know the boys naturally love
to be out there,
just like their daddy.
And I know that through this,
they will learn
responsibility,
respect
for nature, life and work,
a good work ethic
and
most important,
receive a closeness
with their family
that most kids will never know.
Big Guy got to bring home
his own wheat~
the wheat he drove the combine for,
and brought in himself.
Baby's turn!
I didn't know if he would enjoy it
as much as Big Guy.
But he did,
he loved it!
Happy Harvest!
