We couldn't decide what to do over the 4th.
So, we mixed up the weekend
and did it all!
We finally got to the lake as a family!

This fall, I decided my new "toy"
was going to be a paddleboard.
For some reason, I became obsessed with getting one.
I am so glad I did!
It is hard, but fun!
We did our fireworks in Brownell.
The boys are getting old enough to not be afraid (mostly!)
And even Trent could light them on his own! YES!

This guy was hanging out
one morning.
We were not sure what it was,
but his long stinger was pretty creepy.
On the 4th, we headed back to Hays
to swim and relax.
The boys formed a band
"The Tree Rutts".
Sounded great!
Then enjoyed the fireworks show.
(mostly) 3 out of 4 of us fell asleep.
I won't name names, but there was one girl standing!
