The Falls, Day 1

Our first morning

we enjoyed some very cool air

as we went exploring around our cabin.

Bear!  :)

Behind our cabin were huge boulders...

then it dropped off!

I was thankful for the boulders!

This one held up our cabin....

Next up,

Cliff Dwellers.

Its pretty cool

taking my kids to places

I have great memories of going to 

when I was a kid!

He finally made it up the ladder...

but wouldn't stand up!

When you ask your kid to take your picture....

Lunch, shopping

and Fortunes in Manitou.

We had a "pet"

during our stay.

We named him Ralphy!

Trent and I

went into town where the 

Falls lead into the pond.

The water was freezing!

Then, later

we hiked up to

"Crystal Falls".

Jake and Sean waited at the pond,

feeding ducks.

It as a strenuous mile hike,

but we had a great time!

He was pretty excited

this deer wasn't too worried about us!

Peek-a-boo!

We thought we were at the top,

but this was about half-way.

So pretty!

Again,

asking your kid to take your picture.....   :)

We made it!

And we made it back down

before dark!

Our evenings were filled with 

bear hunts,

star gazing

and

"Super fun card games of Uno."
