started off with
a race for me,
honoring a teenage girl
that died in a car accident
Her parents started an
annual run to raise
scholarship money
in her name.
It fit in great with our
training for the half-marathon
in October.
I have to say,
running with my BRF's
has been so beneficial.
I have already shaved
8 minutes off my 10k!
Hoping to cut about
13 minutes off my half.
(now that its in writing, I have too....right?!)
My guys were there to cheer me on.
That helps a ton too!
After a little clean up,
we were off to.....
Tractor Day!!!!
According to my boys....
BEST DAY ever invented!
At most parades,
they are up running around
like maniacs.
Not this one!
They were serious,
intent on studying
every
tractor,
motor,
tire.
I told Jake
that if I had one of these,
I would quit my job
and farm with him.
For some reason,
he didn't
take me up on my offer....
Instead of throwing candy
off the tractors,
there was a
"candy cannon".
Fun, but a little scary!
Learning how to
shuck corn
(the old fashioned way).
Wherever we go,
Brownell
is there!
That evening
it was time
to cheer on
our Tigers!!
"Big Guy, what was your favorite part of this day?"
"Dancing". (to the band at half-time.)
love, the rockinryans
