What a compliment
we had
after a night out,
returning home to a note
from our babysitter~
Good to hear,
especially since
sometimes they can be
pretty
crazy!
I have been
reading about
"sensory play"
and decided to give
it a try.
It should be re-named
"messy day play",
because none
of the sensory activities
are clean.....
Shaving cream
started out innocent enough...
a little more brave...
a little further
onto the body....
then shaving
"like Mommy"...
and suddenly,
they are snowmen!
For the next activity
I wanted to do
an "Ocean play".
I asked a friend
if her kids would like to join us,
and thought it would
be great to do
at HER house (hehehe).....
(just kidding, they just happen
to have a kiddie pool, we don't!)
We had blue spaghetti
for "seaweed",
I froze Ocean animals
in blue ice
and made balls into
jellyfish.
The boys loved it.
They were not afraid
to mush around
in the seaweed,
and even taste-tested!
The poor little lady
wanted nothing
to do with
that gross stuff!
She hung out with us,
hoping we would soon
go do our nails!
No play date
is complete
without
a screaming match!
whats next?!
love, the rockinryans
