Times became tough
rumors were abound
for some friends
this past fall.
It is easy
to fall into
gossip
rumors
and hatred.
It is easy
to listen
to the wrong
voices.
It is easy
to let your heart
sway.
Why?
Why is it
so hard
to stay
on the correct path?
The one
He
has planned
for us?
When this was
happening,
I found this poster
on Etsy
and immediately
{Philippians 4:8}
I love this verse
for many reasons.
But mainly
because
when I read it,
it reminds me
to stay
on the path.
I have this
hanging in my bathroom
where I read it
first thing
every morning.
I may awake feeling
stressed,
worried
or
sad.
But
when I am reminded
to do what is
right,
true or
noble~
I find strength
to start my day.
I read this verse
before bed
every night.
Is it
praiseworthy
to go to bed
with anger
in our hearts?
This is a reminder
to let go
and go to Him
as needed.
This verse
has made such an impact
we have made it into
our family
"vision".
And thus,
our sign
We are striving
to raise our
rockin' ryan's
to be
Noble
True
and
Admirable
men.
We are not perfect.
I struggle daily
to stay on track
with who
I want to be.
But,
it is amazing
that these
few words
have changed
me
and
in many ways
given
me strength
in those hard times.
Does your family have a Vision
or Mission Statement
for who you are
and what you want to become?
We highly recommend
putting one in action!
I would love for you
to share yours!
love, the rockinryans
