Preparations!

Luke 1:30-31 And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.
The wait begins!....

We prepare our homes
and hearts
to celebrate
His
birth.
Or maybe
have a semi-stressful
afternoon
of 2 crazy boys
trying to climb
the tree,
throw the "balls"
as we hung them
and fight
about who does what...
but hey,
what are the Holidays
without a little
bickering? ;)

Trent has waited
all year to get out his
"Activity" scene.
He loves to arrange,
line up
and pretend
with the
"Baby Jesus"
set.
So he got a
special table
just for that.
This guy
enjoyed gently placing tossing
the ornaments onto the tree.
A little dancing
is always in order!
I have to be honest,
it is hard for me to remember
that Trent is becoming
more capable of doing more
"grown up" stuff.
If it wasn't for school,
I probably would still not let him
use scissors.
But, thankfully he has learned well
and actually wrapped
presents this year!
Proud of himself!
We were able to attend
a Living Nativity.
It was an amazing experience
that we all loved.
I wish I could have
recorded the entire thing,
but here are some pics of
while we were waiting.
Seeing the
night Jesus was born
come to life
really makes
you think about
what it was truly like.
Trent liked it so much
he was upset we couldn't go again.
It will be a definite
"to do"
every year
from now on.
For, this is what
the season is about.
Even with the stress
that comes along with it,
we must
always remember.
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
