March 22-28th Coronacation

The boys are in luck!
Their favorite things are not cancelled!
Spring Break is still their "norm".
They head to Brownell for some fishing, shooting and trapping.
Work is a very confusing time.
No  one has ever dealt with anything like this.
As health care providers,
we have always felt that we have increased immunity,
MRSA-"Oh we all have that"!
Pneumonia-"Cover their mouth"!
AIDS-"Don't stick yourself"!
Bed bugs-----"AWWWW"!! Not my patient!! 🤣
But the Coronavirus is hitting health care workers hard.
The "rules" change daily-
wear this mask, wear this gown,
no wait, this mask,
no wait......
I try my hardest to provide a safe environment.
But its so terrifying.
If one person in the room gets sick,
we probably all will.
The stress is building,
and I find myself being short with co-workers,
(we all are on edge)
and dreading work.
The cases we are doing are
semi-emergent and emergencies.
Most of my patients are enduring a fight of their own.
Many cancer patients.
Their worries also become mine
and I get lost in their care.
But on that drive home,
I worry-
am I bringing something home?
The boys stay in Brownell for a few days,
we wonder if we will be living apart for a while?
I already had some days off due to this being Spring Break,
so we did take advantage of a sunny day
and I joined them on the boat.
It felt good to get some sun,
and to see us in our happy place.

Love the rays of sunshine, someone is watching over us!

It was nice to be on the water away from reality,
but I did head back to the twilight zone.

It is a very strange time.
love, the rockinryans
